Blog Day
Yesterday was Blog Day where we identify five blogs that you may not be reading. I only found out about this today, so I thought “Better late than never” and here’s my top five business related blogs. In no particular order:
- 299 Steps to Website Heaven by Nikki Pilkington. Nikki is an SEO expert and she’s created this blog as a guide full of hints, tips and advice for the SME business website owner.
- Better Business Blogging from Mark White. As the name suggests, this blog helps businesses blog better.
- Internet Marketing Made Easy from Susan Hallam. I heard Susan speak at a marketing conference arranged by Business Link and was impressed.
- Rachel Elnaugh Entrepreneur. Who hasn’t heard of Rachel Elnaugh after Dragon’s Den? I love her stuff – it’s relevant, personal, varied and she can rant with the best.
- T-Shirts and Suits by David Parrish. I’ve only recently discovered this blog and I’m still catching up a little. It’s aimed at “creative people who want to make their businesses and organisations even more successful” and as a web developer I have a little bit of creativity hidden away somewhere
Here’s my top five non-business related blogs – again in no particular order:
- Coffee Talk with John Paul Jackson. John Paul is a highly prophetic person one of my spiritual mentors and heads up Streams Ministries based in New Hampshire.
- Stir The Water. Thoughts from Jim Driscol and Friends. Jim works with John Paul.
- BOINC news. Open-source software for volunteer computing and grid computing, made famous by SETI but now supporting many applications.
- ITV’s F1 news. This used to be sent out as an email – which I preferred – but now has headlines via RSS.
- and finally Dilbert by Scott Adams. If you haven’t come across Dilbert before, the only way to explain him is to visit the site and read the cartoons for a week or so.

Why thank you kind Sir
Many thanks for the mention, Trevor!
