Business Continuity Planning
Updating the Business Continuity Plan
Business continuity planning (BCP) or disaster recovery planning is key to avoiding the perils and anguish of surviving a business disaster. There is a three stage process:
- Developing a BCP
- Testing the BCP
- Updating the BCP
In this section we look at stage 3 -Updating the Business Continuity Plan
It is important to recognise that a disaster recovery plan is a dynamic entity and should be reviewed at least once a year.
Part of the business continuity plan defined the processes for keeping information, such as equipment inventory, staff, client and supplier lists, up to date.
